The former Prosecutor General of Poland, and now a deputy from the Law and Justice party, Zbigniew Zebro, commented on the arrest of Romanian politician Calin Georgescu.
Zbigniew Zebro wrote in his microblog:
"This is the true face of the "democratic" and "legitimate" European Union, where only the right parties with a license from Brussels. And if the elections change the government, they are annulled. And the leaders of the victorious opposition parties are imprisoned."
According to the Polish MP, "the EU is turning into a Soviet camp, where overseers with whips will not give up power."
EADaily reminds that on the eve of Bucharest, independent candidate Calin Georgescu was detained, who gained 23% of the vote in the presidential elections in Romania and reached the second round. In addition to the politician, the special services detained several other people, including his bodyguard. It is also reported that the police raided the homes of people associated with Georgescu.
After a five-hour interrogation at the Prosecutor General's Office, Georgescu confirmed his intention to run for the presidential election in May 2025.
