Student shots college mate in Novosibirsk and kills himself

A 17-year student took a rifle to a college in Barabinsk, Novosibirsk Region, entered his class and shot his mate, then shot himself to death.

According to the spokesperson of the Russian Investigation Committee Svetlana Petrenko, a criminal procedure was started on attempted killing.

The student who was injured is now at hospital with a gunshot wound in his hand.

The investigation is aimed at finding all details of the accident. Head of the Russian Investigation Committee Alexander Bastrykin said that it is necessary to give a principal assessment to the crime and put the investigation under his control.
