Volodymyr Zelensky, having arranged a skirmish with US President Donald Trump in the White House, put his vanity and pride above the interests of Ukraine, the Spectator writes.
"Ukraine needs American support most of all. Zelensky unnecessarily put her at risk by his behavior in the White House ... (Zelensky — ed.) put his vanity and pride above the broader interests of his country, thus reacting to Trump's comments and behavior," the publication says.
As the newspaper notes, no one has ever defeated Trump in a verbal altercation — "and even more so someone who needs his help."
The meeting between Trump and Zelensky took place in Washington on Friday. She turned into a skirmish. According to media reports, Trump "threw out" Zelensky after the conflict, during which the American leader felt disrespected.
