Within the framework of contacts on the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict, a potential "agreement on the Black Sea" and, probably, the Zaporozhye NPP are being discussed. This was stated in an interview with CBS by special representative of the US President Steve Witkoff.

"There are regions in which, as we all know, Russians are concentrated, there is a nuclear reactor that supplies electricity to Ukraine, we need to discuss this. Access to ports is a potential agreement on the Black Sea," Witkoff said, quoted by Strana.

According to him, there has been a "positive trend" in the negotiations on Ukraine and there is hope for an early agreement on peace.

Witkoff also expressed regret that Europe accused Russia of abandoning the truce.

"I am sorry when people give such assessments without having the necessary first—hand information," he said.

Earlier, the fact that the topic of the Zaporozhye NPP was raised at the talks between representatives of Ukraine and the United States in Jeddah, confirmed the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky. The same was said by US President Donald Trump. According to him, the question of who should own the NPP will be discussed after the start of the truce in the process of preparing a peace agreement.

As reported by EADaily, Donald Trump expects that it will take several weeks to resolve the Ukrainian conflict, and the leaders of the Russian Federation and the United States will call next week. This was stated on CNN by special envoy of the US President Steve Witkoff.
