The Kiev regime did not observe the Easter truce, and Bankova used American HIMARS to strike to violate the truce. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.
So she commented on the statement of the US State Department, which expressed hope for the extension of the ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine after Easter.
"So it was not observed by the Kiev regime during Easter. Moreover, American HIMARS weapons were used at Bankova to violate the truce. But this is not an accident, but a pattern, because during the moratorium on strikes on the fuel and energy complex (the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir) Zelensky, who agreed to it, targeted civilian energy infrastructure," Zakharova writes in her telegram channel.
Earlier, the US State Department commented on the Easter truce announced the day before by Russian President Vladimir Putin and adopted by the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky.
"We have seen President Putin's announcement of a temporary ceasefire in connection with Easter. We remain committed to achieving a full and comprehensive ceasefire. Assessing the seriousness of intentions in this case, we would welcome the continuation of these actions after Sunday," a State Department spokesman, quoted by Strana, said at a request from Reuters.
As reported by EADaily, the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, offered Russia a new truce format — with a ban on strikes by long-range drones and missiles. He stated this in his social networks.
According to him, since the beginning of the day, the Russian army has violated the Easter truce more than two thousand times, including ground assaults, but today there was not a single air alert.
