Over 3,000 people killed in Donetsk People’s Republic – official sources

Over 3,000 people have been killed in Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) as a result of the conflict in the east of Ukraine.

According to the press service of the DPR Human Rights Commissioner, 3,127 people, including 48 children, have been killed as a result of the conflict. 722 people have been wounded.

According to a UN report, 5,809 people were killed and 14,740 wounded from mid Apr 2014 till Feb 28 2015. 1,012 of them were killed from Dec 1 2014 till Feb 15 2015. Since there are yet no statistics from Donetsk Airport and Debaltsevo, they in the UN are sure that the number of killed exceeds 6,000.

According to the UN, as many as 610,000 were displaced. Some 800,000 more have been registered as refugees in Russia.
