Actor and TV presenter, Honored Artist of Russia Alexei Veselkin died at the age of 63. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Academic Youth Theater (RAMT).
"The leading actor of our troupe, an artist of amazing creative energy and efficiency, colorful, temperamental, a man with a sparkling sense of humor and a magnetic gaze — this is how he will remain in our memory and in our hearts," the message says.
Alexey Veselkin got into the theater right after graduating from the Theater School. Shchukin in 1983.
"For 42 years, he has played a lot in the theater — about 60 roles, each of which became a real, vivid, memorable event," the actor's colleagues emphasized.
The theater noted that Veselkin died on March 26.
According to the telegram channel Shot, the artist has been struggling with cancer for many years. His body was found in an apartment on Pyatnitskoe highway spouse. The doctors who arrived at the scene only pronounced him dead.
Alexey Veselkin was born on November 21, 1961 in Moscow. Since the early 1980s, he has been actively working on radio and television. He was the host of several dozen programs, including "Up to 16 and older", "Alarm Clock", "Call of the Ancestors", "The Magnificent Five", "50x50", "King of the Mountain". He starred in almost 30 films and TV series, the most famous are "Poor Nastya", "Don't be born handsome", "Kulagin and Partners".
In 2021, the artist received the gratitude of the President of Russia for his services to the development of Russian culture and art, many years of fruitful activity.
