According to The Verge, Haofei Wang, director of engineering at Company X, unexpectedly left the company. The reasons for his departure are still unclear.
For X, this is a very important person. Haofei Wang joined the company in July 2023 and played a key role as a liaison between owner Elon Musk and the engineering team, actually being the head of the engineering department and the product department.
Van's departure came at a time of significant changes in the company's management. Mike Dalton and Uday Ruddaraju, who previously held technical positions at Robinhood, recently joined team X. Both of them are also involved in the xAI project, which is an indication of the growing ties between X and xAI over the past year.
Despite these personnel changes, Company X seems to be regaining financial stability. According to the Financial Times, the company received a valuation of $44 billion from investors, which is equivalent to the amount Musk paid for the purchase in 2022.
But experts warn that Elon Musk's attention is currently divided between various projects, including xAI and his political activities in the administration of US President Donald Trump. And this could potentially have a negative impact on the further development of the company.
