Kiev needs Treaty with Russia in order to have what to blame it for

Ukraine government has explained why it is not going to denounce the Friendship Treaty with Russia fully.

Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine for European Integration Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze said on 112 Ukraine TV Channel: “Russia recognizes our territorial integrity and inviolability of borders with this treaty. That is exactly why we need to further refer to that treaty.”

She said, “Ukraine may cancel certain provisions of that treaty and it is not an easy task.” The deputy prime minister urged “a well-weighted and very specific analysis of all articles in the treaty.”

Earlier, President Petro Poroshenko announced his plans to submit a bill on immediate and one-sided termination of “separate provisions” of the Friendship Treaty with Russia.
