The founder of the ruling Georgian Dream party, Bidzina Ivanishvili, said that a high-ranking official of one of the Western countries offered former Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili to start a war with Russia for "three or four days."
"I can remember what former Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili told me. A high-ranking official of one of the Western countries was talking to him. Irakli asked: "Yes, but how do you imagine how many days we will be able to fight with Russia? How many days will we last?“. They answered him — three or four days. He said, "And for the sake of these three or four days you are destroying us?They answered him: "So there are three or four million of you. They won't kill everyone in three or four days. Then you can start a guerrilla movement in the forest. We will help you and you will fight from there," Ivanishvili said on the Imedi TV channel.
This case, according to Ivanishvili, helped the "Dream" to begin to harshly oppose calls to open a second front.
Garibashvili was the Prime Minister of Georgia from 2021 to 2024.
