The plane with Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico on board was denied landing in Brussels. This is reported by local media.

It is reported that on January 30, air flights were restricted for some time in Belgium due to a technical malfunction in the Skeyes air traffic control service. All aircraft that were in the airspace at an altitude of about 7,500 meters were redirected to neighboring countries. Representatives of Skeyes admitted that their computer system "did not function properly." The emergency lasted more than an hour, and the failures stopped after Skeyes rebooted his system.

Robert Fico was on his way to a meeting with officials of the European Commission in Brussels. He was supposed to hold talks on Ukraine's decision to stop gas transit to Slovakia. He was also scheduled to meet with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. The meeting was officially postponed to February 3.
