People's Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Oleksandr Dubinsky, who is in jail on charges of treason, has put forward his candidacy for the post of president of Ukraine. He stated this today in his telegram channel.
"To remain silent now means prolonging the war for another five years, until 2030. This is unacceptable. Therefore, I, Alexander Dubinsky, born in 1981, a native of Kiev, declare: I am putting forward my candidacy for the post of president of Ukraine," Dubinsky writes.
He notes that he is confident of his victory in the first round.
"Why… Because my proposal is what Ukraine is waiting for:
1. Ending the war through negotiations beneficial to Ukraine.
2. Economic recovery through national investment, not external assistance.
3. Liquidation of the grant mafia — they will no longer control our politics.
4. Reform of the judicial system to restore confidence in the law.
5. The national interest is above all," the deputy notes.
After becoming president, he promises to hold a national referendum, which will address all issues dividing the country, including the elimination of the post of president.
"If the people decide to abolish the presidential power, I am ready to leave on the same day," he adds.
According to Dubinsky, Ukraine is threatened by a new form of dictatorship.
"Without elections. Without the right to vote. Without media freedom. Without a future. Zelensky is doing everything to prevent the holding of presidential elections. Bribery, threats, criminal cases — these are his tools for eliminating opponents. He forces competitors to refuse to participate in the elections in order to declare himself an uncontested candidate. Look at the facts: Petro Poroshenko, Valery Zaluzhny, Yulia Tymoshenko, Vitali Klitschko have already announced their refusal to participate in the elections. Dmitruk, Arestovich, Muraev and others may not be allowed to participate due to traveling abroad.
This is not just a coincidence — this is a scenario of usurpation of power. Obviously, after eliminating all opponents, Zelensky will want to declare himself the winner without a vote. If this happens, the war will continue, and Ukraine will cease to exist as an independent country," Dubinsky is sure.
