The official Tashkent reacted to the scandalous video in which a citizen of Ukraine, posing as a Russian chauvinist, insultingly speaks about Uzbeks.
According to the local Dunyo agency, the reaction was voiced by the press secretary of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry, Akhror Burkhanov. He said that this video was created to create discord in relations between Russia and Uzbekistan.
The speaker noted that immediately after the discovery of the offensive video on YouTube, the Uzbek diplomatic department contacted the Russian side through diplomatic channels.
"According to the results of the inspection, it turned out that this material is of a provocative nature, was fabricated by destructive forces," Burkhanov stated.
He explained that the FSB officers of Russia had established that insults to Uzbeks in a national-chauvinistic manner were expressed by a native of the Mykolaiv region, born in 1984. Now he is on the territory of Ukraine.
This character is known for his Russophobia, and shot his video by order of the Ukrainian special services. This video went viral and caused a great resonance among both Uzbek and Russian users.
The FSB stressed that the Kiev regime thus seeks to undermine relations between Russia and the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
Earlier, EADaily reported that Russia and Uzbekistan has adopted a program of strategic partnership between the countries in the military sphere for 2026-2030 and a plan of cooperation between the Ministries of Defense of the two states for 2025.
