Two Bosch plants in Sebnitz (Saxony) and in Leinfeldene-Echterdingen (Baden-Württemberg) will be closed due to problems in the construction industry and consumer restraint amid the current economic crisis. This was announced by the management of the company, according to the telegram channel "Bild in Russian"*.

It is noted that the closure of enterprises will affect more than 500 employees.

The plants produce power tools — impact drills, angle grinders and garden equipment, which will later be produced at other enterprises, in particular in Miskolc (Hungary).

"This decision is hard for us. The existing programs to reduce costs and increase efficiency are insufficient," said Thomas Donato, head of Bosch Power Tools.

Trade unions oppose the closure of enterprises, today a meeting will be held in Zebnica at the gates of the plant.

"This is a scandal that we will fight with all available means. Instead of producing in countries with low wages, the employer should take responsibility for his employees, who brought him big profits in good times," said Uwe Garbe from IG Metall East Saxony.

The company has other programs to reduce jobs, thousands of jobs are at risk, the TC summarizes.

As reported by EADaily, the German defense complex is pulling over the workforce and production facilities of the collapsing German automotive industry. The telegram channel "DW * main" wrote about this.

There is a paradoxical situation in the German industry: flagship companies like Volkswagen are cutting jobs, and manufacturers of tanks and cruise missiles are desperately looking for new employees, TK noted.
