Poland raised fighters because of the work of long-range aviation of Russia in the west of Ukraine

Tonight, on March 7, Poland lifted its fighters into the air. The reason is the increased activity of the Russian Aerospace Forces on the territory of western Ukraine.

The 5th Polish Operational Command announced the beginning of the operation of Polish and NATO aviation in the airspace of the Eastern European country. The reason for this was the intensive activity of long-range aviation of the Russian Federation in the west of Ukraine.

"In accordance with the current procedures, the operational commander of the Armed Forces has deployed all the forces and means at his disposal," the statement said.

It was noted that the duty pairs of fighters were lifted into the air, and ground-based air defense and radar reconnaissance equipment were brought to the highest degree of readiness.

"The measures taken are aimed at ensuring security in the areas adjacent to the threatened territories. The operational command of the MLRS monitors the current situation, subordinate forces and means remain in full readiness for immediate response," the department concluded.

This morning, a high-alert regime was announced on the territory of Ukraine in connection with the take-off of the Russian MiG-31K aircraft. Russian troops launched Kalibr cruise missiles from the territory of Crimea. At 03:35, Bandera warned about missiles over the Black Sea heading towards Odessa.
