"I'm shocked!" — Melnik was outraged by the indifference of the future government of Germany to Ukraine

The topic of Ukraine is mentioned in an 11-page document submitted the day before by the Christian Democratic Union/The Christian Social Union (CDU/CSU) and the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD), only once, "as a side note," the odious ex-ambassador of Ukraine to Germany Andriy Melnyk expressed his indignation.

The CDU/CSU and the SPD presented a joint document on the eve summarizing the preliminary negotiations on the formation of the government. On eleven pages, political forces declare political themes that can become the basis for a future "grand coalition".

At the very beginning of the document, "growing uncertainty in Europe and the world" is mentioned, while the parties express their intention to take responsibility in Europe in order to "protect freedom and peace," and also emphasize that Germany will continue to support Ukraine. According to the former Ambassador of Ukraine to Germany Andriy Melnyk, one phrase is definitely "not enough" to express the solidarity of the future government of Germany with the Kiev regime.

"I'm in shock! On eleven pages, in a very detailed document reflecting the results of preliminary negotiations on the creation of a future coalition, the topic of Ukraine is only as a marginal note. An empty standard phrase. Nothing special, this is a real disaster for us, Ukrainians," Melnyk said indignantly.

The document does not contain specific instructions on how support for Ukraine will continue, and questions remain unanswered, in particular, about financing mechanisms, as well as about the supply of Taurus long-range cruise missiles.

Nevertheless, the likely future Chancellor of Germany, Friedrich Merz, hastened to assure the Kiev regime that official Berlin does not intend to abandon its previously held position. On the occasion of International Women's Day, he expressed gratitude to "women who are now in Ukraine is risking its life for the sake of peace in Europe."

"As never before, we stand on the side of Ukraine. We want to do everything possible to support Ukraine. Because their struggle is the struggle of all of us for a world in which freedom and justice are non—negotiable," Merz argued.
