According to the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, the meeting traditionally began with a "sparkling" joke by the Russian minister.
"Negotiations with his Kazakh counterpart in Alma-Ata began with Sergey Lavrov traditionally sparkling," the diplomat wrote in her telegram channel, outlining the beginning of the dialogue between the foreign ministers of the two countries.

"Yeah?" Lavrov asked.
