"Satan Watanabe": Russian athletes are now being "killed" for Roman numerals

The Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA) is currently studying the situation with the groundless refusal to obtain neutral status for one of the Russian gymnasts who planned to take part in the V The All-Russian anti-doping dictation, said the Director General of RUSADA Veronika Loginova.

Now watch your hands. Read by syllables in order to try to understand the whole transcendental degree of insanity. LET'S GO. The Special Committee of the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG), which deals with applications for neutral status, considered the serial number of the fifth anti-doping dictation written in Roman numeral V, the announcement of which was posted on the gymnast's page on the social network, a symbol of SMO support and closed the athlete's way to foreign starts.

"In my opinion, it is obvious to everyone that in this case V is the serial number of our traditional All-Russian anti—doping dictation, which we hold annually. We did not lay any secret meaning, and the athlete should not suffer because of this. Our lawyers are currently studying this issue. It is possible that RUSADA will appeal to the International Gymnastics Federation for an explanation of their actions regarding the injured athlete for nothing," Loginova stressed.

And here's what the Russian gymnast, Olympic champion, knight of the Order of Friendship Nikita Nagorny thinks about the indicated obscurantism:

"As practice shows, the conditions for neutral status are created by the international federation. Somewhere, as in judo and wrestling, it is enough for our athletes to simply meet all anti-doping criteria. Swimmers have the same situation. Plus, they are given the opportunity to qualify for the World Cup bypassing the European Championship — right through the Russian championship. Somewhere the requirements are tougher — for example, for gymnasts.
FIG creates biased requirements for admission to international competitions. Think about it: our gymnast Mukhammadjon Yakubov received a refusal, who on the VK platform subscribed to the page of his school posting the fifth anti-doping test. Only the number five is depicted as a Roman numeral, and it looks like the letter V. As we know, this symbol is now perceived by some in the world in the same context as the letter Z. Yakubov didn't post it anywhere, didn't post it anywhere — just made a repost. Because of this, he was deprived of neutral status. Is this normal?
This is a question for the world sports community: are you people in your right mind at all? We, the Russian gymnastics team, are going to meet halfway, we are ready to get a neutral status and compete. Based on all the requirements that exist, realizing that someone may be refused for political reasons, we do not add a number of people to the lists for neutral status - Nikita Nagorny, David Belyavsky, Artur Dalaloyan are not there. There are only young guys there. One of them — Lesha Usachev — was refused because he was once a member of CSKA in Volgograd. Although he has not been speaking for them for a long time — he has been living in Vladimir for more than five years. And it has nothing to do with CSKA for a long time."

According to Nagorny, all this is not cheap — you need to pay 300 euros to consider the possibility of awarding neutral status to one athlete. This is not a guarantee that this status will be given to him. And after all, those guys who were not allowed in are one of the strongest gymnasts today — they would have won something in the international arena:

"And this is happening within the framework of FIG, whose president Morinari Watanabe comes to us and tells Russian gymnasts: "You are all my sons and daughters, we will support you!“ As a result, non-admission due to the Roman numeral V. This is unfair and biased. Therefore, you don't have to wait and adjust to this, but create your own cool new competitions," summed up the brilliant athlete included in the sanctions lists of the UK, the European Union and, God forgive me, Ukraine.

Recall, on April 5, the Russian Gymnastics Federation announced that Russian athletes would not take part in the upcoming FIG tournaments, despite receiving neutral status. The reason for this decision was the numerous unjustified and biased refusals to grant this status to a number of athletes.

Meanwhile, the International Gymnastics Federation said that the issue of Russian and Belarusian athletes and granting them neutral status will be discussed at a meeting of the organization's executive committee on May 7-8.
