Armenia and Iran are planning to sign a document that will introduce a visa-free regime between the countries. A draft of the agreement is to be discussed at a meeting of the Armenian parliament on June 2.
The agreement is aimed at further development of the ties between the two countries, strengthening of economic, trade and other relations and regulation of visits of the two countries’ citizens.
According to the document, citizens of Armenia and Iran will be allowed to stay visa-free for 90 days in a 180-day period in the other country. Institutions in charge in the both states can decide to prolong stay of residents.
The document also lists documents that allow entering the neighboring country without a visa.
