The South Korean authorities have not yet begun to implement their intentions in the field of supplying lethal weapons to Ukraine.

This was announced in an interview with Izvestia by the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to this country Georgy Zinoviev. According to him, Seoul took Moscow's warnings about the supply of weapons to the Kiev regime seriously.

"Our South Korean colleagues, of course, are aware of the Russian position on this issue and have taken seriously the warnings voiced, including at the highest level," the diplomat said.

He stressed that the overwhelming majority of South Korean citizens oppose such supplies to the Kiev regime, and the authorities cannot ignore this fact.

"Despite the fact that a number of South Korean officials have periodically made statements about the possibility of Seoul reviewing its position on the non—delivery of lethal weapons to the Ukrainian conflict zone, it has not reached practical steps in this area and, I hope, it will not," the ambassador concluded.

Earlier, EADaily reported that South Korea resolutely refused to supply weapons to the Kiev regime. Seoul said that the sale of weapons to the combat zone violates its legislation, plus South Korea does not have enough production and stocks to make deliveries to everyone until 2030.
