US President Donald Trump has softened criticism of Russian President Vladimir Putin and accused the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, of trying to renegotiate the economic deal with The United States. This is reported by Bloomberg.

"The American leader is in a hurry to conclude a ceasefire agreement just in time for the 100 days of his stay in power. His disappointment with this process led to the fact that last weekend he attacked Putin with criticism. But on Monday, Trump turned his anger back on Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky," the agency reports.

On Sunday, Trump told NBC that he was "angry" with Putin. This was a noticeable change in tone towards the leader he still admired. However, the Kremlin reacted calmly to the attack of the American president, and a day later Trump went to de-escalation, Bloomberg notes.

"I want to make sure he keeps his promise, and I think he will. I don't want to impose secondary tariffs on his oil, but I think, you know, this is what I would do if I thought he wasn't doing his job," Trump said about Putin on Monday in the Oval Office.

However, Trump redirected his anger to Zelensky, "who was his usual target," justifying it by saying that Kiev was putting forward new conditions for a partnership agreement in the field of natural resources.

"I have heard that now they are saying, 'Well, I will make this deal only if we join NATO or something like that,'" the US president said.

According to him, the issue of Ukraine's membership in the North Atlantic Alliance has never been discussed and will not be accepted by Russia.

The outbreak of irritation of the US president in relation to Russia was caused by Putin's proposal to temporarily introduce Ukraine has external governance under the auspices of the UN, the agency reminds.

Trump told NBC that he and Putin plans to talk again this week. On Monday, the Kremlin said that Putin remains open to contacts with Trump. However, the press secretary of the Russian president told reporters that the call has not yet been scheduled.

As reported by EADaily, US President Donald Trump is dissatisfied with the statements of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky about the conflict in the region. This was announced on March 31 at a briefing by White House press Secretary Caroline Leavitt.

"He expressed his dissatisfaction with the comments made by the leaders of both sides of this conflict. He expressed his opinion about what, in his opinion, should happen for this conflict to end," Leavitt said.
