The bodies of the head of Bloomberg, his wife and daughter were found in their own home in the city of Greer, South Carolina, last Friday, writes the New York Post.
Authorities identified the victims as 54-year—old Richard Samarel; Lina Maria Samarel, 45; and their daughter Samantha Samel.
It is emphasized that the police did not specify the official cause of death, but assured that there was no danger to local residents.
Richard Samarel worked as an equity manager at Bloomberg LP, and his wife Lida was a civil servant. They have been married since 2009. The family lived in a large mansion worth 800 thousand dollars, according to the publication.
The police found the bodies on Friday morning, March 29, when they arrived at the house after a call from concerned neighbors. Two other children of the couple — a daughter and a son — were at school at the time of the incident. The sheriff's office said in a statement that more detailed information will be released at a later date as the investigation progresses.
