The start of a spontaneous strike, organized today, March 9, by the Verdi trade union without any prior warnings, paralyzed the operation of Hamburg airport, Focus magazine writes.

German journalists are spreading panic:

"There is real chaos at the airport! The strike, which started without any warnings, paralyzed the work of the air harbor. All flights have been cancelled."

Flights were canceled due to a strike by airport ground staff. The strike is expected to last until the end of the day and will continue tomorrow, March 10. Airport operators, as well as airlines, are already working on alternative scenarios, recognizing "serious disruptions in the operation of air traffic."

Due to the spontaneity of the protest, hundreds of passengers are now unable to return the luggage that they managed to hand over before the strike began. The press service of Hamburg has so far refrained from answering and commenting, and passengers, realizing the inability to fly out of the airport in the next two days, are starting to leave the air harbor.

The reason for starting the strike is the demand for a wage increase.
