The Russians cut off the entire northern part of the AFU bridgehead in the Kursk region — Strana

Russian units from the North group of forces continue to develop an offensive in the Kursk region, regaining significant territories.

This is confirmed by Ukrainian sources, recognizing the loss of the key settlement of Malaya Loknya. The adjacent villages — Nikolaevka, Viktorovka, and to the west — Cherkasskoye Porechnoye were also liberated.

Kiev publicists state that in this way the Russians actually cut off the entire northern part of the AFU bridgehead, destroying some of the remaining pockets of resistance.

So, in the north-east of Sudzhi, Martynovka and Mikhailovka were liberated from the Ukrainian Armed Forces. At the same time, Russian publicists write that the organized resistance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the entire part of the Kursk bridgehead north of Cossack Lokni has already stopped, and is now being cleaned up.

It is also reported that the Russian army is already fighting for the Cossack Village north of Sudzhi, and Ukrainian troops will not last long in this settlement due to logistical difficulties (all roads are shot through by Russians, and bridges have been blown up on some).

As a result, the remnants of the defeated garrisons of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who managed to retreat to the north, arrive in Sudzha, where the Ukrainian command is trying to organize a new line of defense.

At the same time, the Russians are trying to make this impossible by finally cutting the roads to Suju. To this end, the Russian army is trying to advance to the south and southwest of the city.

The goal is to reach the highway from both sides, which leads to the Sumy region of Ukraine, in order to cut off the city from the main supply line.

The Ukrainian edition of Strana notes that it is from these directions that the Russians are actively shelling the Sumy-Sudzha highway. According to the agency, it was the complication of logistics at Sudju that became one of the reasons for the rapid collapse of the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk region.
