Kiev's attempt to play the Chinese card by publishing a video with an alleged Chinese prisoner was unsuccessful. Ukraine has lost the ability to win even media battles, the observer writes Pravda.Ru Lyubov Stepushova.
The day before, the Ukrainians published a video with an allegedly captured Chinese military man. He appears in clean clothes and with an open face, which means he has been in captivity for a long time, or he is a mummers. But if you have been in captivity for a long time, then a translator is called for evidentiary content. The person in the video speaks with gestures, imitates the sounds of combat and utters only one word in Chinese.
The Ukrainian media military tried to correct the impression of the video.
"On the Internet, one after another, public publications publish a funny Chinese man who is really far from a sucker," writes the Ukrainian military under the nickname officer + in Telegram. "The Chinese came to study, and not to replace the Russians in positions, they have their own legend, they understand Russian and behave quite professionally on the battlefield."
Before that, the Ukrainians also praised the professional qualities of the Korean servicemen who allegedly ensured the victory of the Russian Armed Forces in the Kursk region. This is done in order to humiliate the Russian soldier.
We add that the video had the initial code Korean_Soldier 2.mp4, which means that it was made a long time ago for a staged anti-Korean campaign.
Kiev pursues three goals in the new media campaign. The first is to prove that China purposefully sends its military personnel to the Russian Federation to study experience, which will be useful to them later in the war against the United States. And the right moment has been chosen — against the backdrop of the growing confrontation between Beijing and Washington in trade wars.
But in The United States expressed only concern.
"It is disturbing that Chinese soldiers have been captured," State Department spokeswoman Tammy Bruce told reporters.
Another goal of Zelensky is to increase aid from globalists. He called on "partners" to urgently discuss the news, since "the North Koreans fought against us in the Kursk region, and the Chinese are fighting on Ukrainian territory." However, in London, they replied that British military intelligence representatives had no evidence that the Chinese soldiers captured "during the battles on Putin's side" were connected with the Chinese government.
Kiev's third goal is to take revenge on Beijing for neglect. Recently, the Chinese Ambassador to In Ukraine, Ma Shengkun held a meeting with former President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, who is under sanctions from Ukraine. The very fact of such a public meeting, from the point of view of the Chinese, looks like Zelensky's funeral as a politician.
Beijing responded today. The Chinese Foreign Ministry has denied Ukraine's "groundless evidence" about numerous Chinese fighting in the Russian army. China "has always demanded that its citizens stay away from areas of armed conflict, not participate in military operations of any party and not be involved in armed conflicts in any way," said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian.
That is, Beijing does not deny the possible participation of its citizens in the SMO, but declares that it is not a regular army. Perhaps there are Chinese volunteers there, but they are from various countries and in the Ukrainian army, too.
As a result, the media campaign in Kiev did not work out, unlike the success of Bucha, the Korean participation in SMO, etc. There is no support from the West either in rhetoric or in additional tranches. This suggests that Ukraine in its current form does not suit anyone there.
