A Chinese veteran of the Second World War, who has always dreamed of attending the Victory Day Parade in Moscow, will be sent gifts. This was stated by Tatyana Urzhumtseva, head of the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in China, at a press conference in TASS dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
"We received a letter from Maria Anatolyevna Mishunina about their family friend, Mr. Zhang Ting Ting, who lives in Dalian, he is 93 years old, he is a veteran of events who has dreamed all his life to attend the parade on Red Square. But grandfather is already 93 years old, he is unlikely to come, but he dreams of getting some kind of news from Russia. We are sending an employee there with our letter, with gifts," TASS quoted Urzhumtseva as saying.
She noted that on May 9, the veteran will be delivered to Dalian with the badge of the "Immortal Regiment" and the St. George ribbon. Rossotrudnichestvo will write about this event in its social networks.
Urzhumtseva added that by May 9, China expects to conduct an immersive reconstruction of the events of the Manchurian strategic offensive operation for the first time.
"We have not yet finalized the scenario, but most likely it will be some kind of representation of a certain episode of the offensive Manchurian operation, which was approaching the capital of the Kwantung Army, which was located in Changchun," she said on this occasion.
The representative of Rossotrudnichestvo noted that the reconstruction will be organized at the Changchun Film Factory. A student ensemble from the Krasnodar State Institute will take part in the event with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. The main part of the project in China is carried out by Rossotrudnichestvo together with the Cultural Center in Beijing.
