According to him, on April 12, 2025, during the assembly of IEDs by these persons, an involuntary detonation occurred, as a result of which two apartments were destroyed in a residential building in the city of Khanty-Mansiysk. Five people were hospitalized with injuries of varying severity, including two defendants who were preparing a terrorist act.

"Also, a detained citizen of the Republic of Moldova is being checked for involvement in the commission of this crime, who delivered IED components camouflaged in a cordless screwdriver and an aromatic candle to Ugra in a personal minibus through Poland, Lithuania and the Republic of Belarus, transferred to him in Ivano-Frankivsk by an agent of the Ukrainian special services Valentin Pavlyuk," the department informs The RF IC for Ugra.

It is indicated that during the investigative actions, IED components were found and seized, explosive, chemical and other forensic examinations were appointed.

At the request of the investigator of the Investigative Committee of Russia, by a court decision, the defendants were given a preventive measure in the form of detention.

A criminal case initiated on the grounds of crimes under part 1 of Article 30, paragraphs "a, b" of part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code (preparation for a terrorist act), part 3 of Article 30, part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code (attempted murder), part 2 of Article 167 of the Criminal Code (intentional destruction or damage of property).

It is noted that investigators, criminologists of the investigative department, in cooperation with employees of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Tyumen region, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug-Yugra, continue to carry out a set of measures aimed at establishing the circumstances of crimes and exposing all persons involved in their commission.
