The former prime minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov has offered the incumbent Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk to yield his post to him and leave Ukraine. In exchange for it, Azarov, who currently heads of the Committee to Save Ukraine, promises to restore within two years “what Yatsenyuk has ruined”.
Azarov posted about his offer on Facebook:
“To Yatsenyuk.
I offer you a bet. Let us exchange our seats. Leave anywhere you want. I will take your place. Within two years, I will restore everything you have ruined. I will increase the salaries and pensions as much as you have cut. I will reduce the prices as much as you have increased. I will return stability to the country, which you have failed to do. I guarantee peace for Ukraine – something you have taken from the country. In short, I will do everything on the contrary. I offer assessing the result in two years. I am sure that not only I, but also the entire people of Ukraine will gain from this. Are you brave enough to meet this challenge? The final word rests upon the people of Ukraine.”
EADaily reported earlier that in February Azarov said he might return to the country after the incumbent regime in Kiev is changed. “I think it will happen in the near future. It is important for me that a Ukrainian regime comes to power in Ukraine, the one that will understand the national interests of Ukraine,” Azarov said.
