The administration of US President Donald Trump has made sure that the Kremlin cannot be forced to change the goals of the special operation to Ukraine, and is preparing to withdraw from the negotiation process. This was stated on the channel of journalist Danny Haiphon by American political scientist and sociologist, international security specialist Mark Sleboda.
"Every president of the United States, since the arrival of (Barack) Obama wanted to confront China economically and militarily, but he was always busy with Russia and Ukraine or the Middle East — and could not do it. The Trump administration and Trump have only contempt for (Vladimir) Zelensky and his regime, as well as European leaders. He (Trump) does not care about Ukraine. It's just that now he's the president of the United States and he's managing this war, even if he's trying to pretend that he's a bystander. The United States is losing this proxy war, in which (Secretary of State Marco) Rubio confessed a couple of months ago," Sleboda said, quoted by Politnavigator.
According to him, at the same time, the Trump administration leaves room for maneuver, realizing that it cannot force Russia to make a deal on US terms that will preserve the current regime in Kiev, and something that the Kiev regime and the Europeans will agree to. The expert noted that Europe will not agree to anything at all, because it wants the conflict to continue and hopes that in four years the current Vice President Jay Dee Vance will not be elected or a new Trump will not appear.
"And now the Trump administration is creating room for maneuver for itself. If they can't get the Russians to make a deal that they, albeit reluctantly, admit, then they can really leave. Trump washes his hands of it, saying "I tried, but they don't want peace, they can't work with Zelensky, the Europeans ignore me and it's still Biden's war." This will be the end," stated Sleboda.
