At the meeting of the Supreme Rada Coordination Board, Yulia Tymoshenko, the leader of Batkivshchyna Party, told about her trip to Lvov, where she attended a local book fair. In her words, she communicated to the people in the streets and they demanded that ex-president Viktor Yanukovych is brought back, because, as they say, he worked for the people.
“I have never seen so much tears, damnation and despair,” Tymoshenko said. “They demanded that the democratic forces in power are unable to govern the country and should leave and bring back the “criminal power” that did much for the people. I heard such demands, for the first time.”
The Batkivshchyna leader said the local residents call the policy of the incumbent authorities of Ukraine as “consistent genocide.” “If they in Halychyna think so, can you imagine what happens throughout Ukraine?” Tymoshenko said urging representatives of the “democratic coalition” to “stop deceiving people.”
To recall, president of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych was removed from power in February 2014 after a coup d’état that was preceded by public unrest known as “Euromaidan” in Kiev and armed clashes.
