The US authorities arrested 538 illegal migrants and deported hundreds with the help of a military aircraft. This was stated by White House press secretary Caroline Leavitt, NDTV reports.
Hundreds of illegal migrants have been arrested and deported in a massive operation that took place just three days after the new administration was sworn in.
"The Trump administration has arrested 538 illegal immigrant criminals, including a terrorist suspect, four members of the Tren de Aragua gang and several illegal immigrants convicted of sexual crimes against minors. The Trump administration has also deported hundreds of criminal illegal immigrants with the help of military aircraft. The largest large-scale deportation operation in history is in full swing. Promises are made. Promises have been fulfilled," Leavitt said.
It is noted that the White House shared a "small preliminary review" of the work that the Trump administration is doing to "ensure the security of our country's borders." It listed the names of some of those arrested by the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the crimes they committed. The crimes include, but are not limited to, rape, sexual conduct against a child, and persistent sexual abuse of a child aged 14 or younger.
