The Government of the Russian Federation and the State Duma, together with the FSB and the Central Bank, should ensure a ban on the use of foreign messengers for civil servants, bank employees and telecom operators. This instruction was given by Russian President Vladimir Putin following a meeting with the Cabinet of Ministers in March. The list is published by the Kremlin.
By mid-April, it was instructed to do everything necessary to "ban employees of government agencies, credit institutions and telecom operators from using foreign instant messaging services (messengers) when interacting with citizens during the exercise of their powers," TASS reports.
