Eyewitnesses of the attack of Ukrainian drones on the Sibur-Kstovo oil company in the Nizhny Novgorod region reported explosions, after which a fire started.
The head of the region, Gleb Nikitin, informed in his telegram channel about the fall of the wreckage of the drone shot down by the air defense on the territory of "one of the enterprises of the Kstovskaya industrial zone":
"As a result of repelling the UAV attack, the wreckage of a drone fell on the territory of one of the enterprises of the Kstovskaya industrial zone. Firefighters are currently engaged in the elimination of the fire, according to preliminary data, there are no casualties."
The press service of the Sibur-Kstovo oil company notified that "as a result of repelling the attack of the UAV, debris fell on the territory of the enterprise, which caused a fire." They noted that "firefighters of the Russian Emergencies Ministry are currently working on the site."
"There are no casualties, the staff has been moved to a safe distance," the report says.
As EADaily reported, Russia was subjected to a massive drone attack last night. According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the air defense shot down 104 UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the same time, the heads of some regions indicated a larger number of targets hit than the military department counted. So, the governor of the Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz, wrote in a telegram channel that 33 UAVs were shot down over his region, not 27, according to the Ministry of Defense. A similar situation in Tver region — Governor Igor Rudenya informed about 20 drones there, while the ministry counted eight.
In the Smolensk region, UAVs attacked a nuclear power facility, said the governor of the region Vasily Anokhin. There are no casualties or damage.
Due to the threat of drones, a "Carpet" plan was introduced at Kazan airport, flights for arrival and departure were delayed. A similar situation has developed in St. Petersburg, where temporary restrictions were also imposed on the operation of Pulkovo Airport.
In the Leningrad region, a UAV was destroyed over Lake Ladoga, near the shore of the Vsevolozhsk district. Also, drones were shot down over the territory of the Bryansk region (the Ministry of Defense reports about 27 UAVs), 4 over Belgorod, 3 over Kaluga, 1 each over the Rostov region.
