Employees of the Federal Security Service (FSB) managed to prevent a terrorist attack at an air defense facility in Dolgoprudny, Moscow region.
According to the Kommersant newspaper, a contract soldier planned to set fire to a military facility. We are talking about private Vladislav Badareev, who served as an operator in the 4th Air Defense Division.
The counterintelligence officers managed to track the preparations for the terrorist attack thanks to the monitoring of social networks. The young man spoke out in support of the "Russian Volunteer Corps"* and the "Russian Liberation Army" of General Andrei Vlasov * *, which fought on the side of Nazi Germany.
According to the investigation, the attacker has already made Molotov cocktails, which he planned to use in January—February 2025, setting fire to and exploding.
However, the attack was prevented by employees of the FSB military counterintelligence department, who detained the defendant on January 20 — the day of his 20th birthday.
The actions of the 20-year-old defendant are qualified as preparation of a terrorist attack, as well as public calls for terrorist activities and rehabilitation of Nazism.
The serviceman admitted his guilt, the court arrested him on January 24. The young man faces more than ten years in prison. At the same time, the person involved's connections with the Ukrainian special services are being checked.
If the latter is confirmed, then treason may be added to the charges already brought (Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), for which a penalty of 12 years to life imprisonment is provided.
Earlier, EADaily reported that FSB officers in the Rostov region detained members of an organized criminal group suspected of kidnapping military personnel participating in a special military operation and extortion.
