Sergei Bolgaryev, the head of the 5481st military representative office of the Russian Ministry of Defense, was taken into custody, accused of embezzlement on an especially large scale - 14 million rubles — when concluding state contracts with defense industry enterprises.
The military investigative bodies of the Russian Investigative Committee are investigating a criminal case against the head of the 5481 military representative office of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Sergei Bolgaryov, accused of taking a bribe on an especially large scale (part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), the department said. At the request of the investigation, the court chose a preventive measure in the form of arrest.
"It is established that in 2017-2023. During the execution of the state defense order, the Russian Ministry of Defense concluded more than 10 government contracts with enterprises of the military-industrial complex for the supply of military products, including for the provision of units participating in hostilities, totaling more than half a billion rubles. JSC Pyatigorsk Plant Impulse was involved in the execution of these contracts as a subcontractor. Quality control and technical acceptance of the products supplied by the specified enterprise were assigned to Bolgaryov," the RF IC said.
It is noted that "in the period from 2017 to 2023, Bolgaryov received bribes in a particularly large amount from the general director of JSC Pyatigorsk Impulse Plant, Sergei Kuzmenko, totaling over 14 million rubles for the formal acceptance of military products manufactured by the enterprise, as well as general patronage in the execution of the state defense order."
The investigation of the criminal case is under control at the Main Military Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
