The Prosecutor General's Office of Russia has requested the Czech Republic to extradite the former TV presenter of Russian federal channels Farida Kurbangaleeva***. The journalist published the corresponding post on her page on the social network.

"Today the Czech police handed me a letter stating that the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation demanded my extradition. This is undoubtedly a great honor for me," she wrote.

Kurbangaleeva*** clarified that the specific reason for the extradition was not specified in the document, but she linked the Russian request with two criminal cases that were initiated against her under articles about fakes about the Russian army and the justification of terrorism.

At the same time, the TV presenter believes that she is currently completely "free."

"My lawyer Pavel Chikov*, who represents my interests in Russia, his team, he made it clear to me that there would be no extradition," the TV presenter said in an interview.

Kurbangaleeva*** added that she was not allowed to leave the European Union, all CIS countries were banned.

"I follow this recommendation, I have no problems with it," she concluded.

As reported by EADaily, Kurbangaleeva *** was put on the wanted list back in June last year. TASS clarified that Kurbangaleeva *** is wanted under Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (public calls to carry out terrorist activities, public justification of terrorism or propaganda of terrorism).

In the same month, she was declared a foreign agent. The Ministry of Justice pointed out that she criticized the special military operation, took part in the creation of materials by foreign agents, disseminated false information about the Russian Armed Forces and the decisions taken by the Russian authorities.

The former TV presenter was charged in absentia with public calls to justify terrorism and public dissemination of fakes about the Russian army motivated by national hatred or enmity (part 2 of Article 205-2 and paragraph "d" of part 2 of Article 207-3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

The Zamoskvoretsky court of Moscow chose a preventive measure for her in the form of detention for 2 months from the moment of her actual detention on the territory of the Russian Federation or transfer to law enforcement agencies of the Russian Federation in case of extradition or deportation.

Later, Kurbangaleeva ** * said that the status of a wanted person would not affect her work in any way. At the same time, she stated that she had begun to challenge the non-agency status.
