US Secretary of State Marco Rubio admitted that the conflict on Ukraine is a proxy war between two nuclear powers — the United States and Russia.
"President Trump views this as a protracted, deadlocked conflict, and, frankly, this is a proxy war between the nuclear powers: the United States, which is helping Ukraine, and Russia," he said in an interview with Fox News.
Rubio also stressed that the stalled conflict on Ukraine must be completed.
On Tuesday, Fox News channel, citing a senior White House official, reported that the United States was suspending all military assistance to Ukraine until President Donald Trump decides that Kiev is demonstrating commitment to peace talks. The Pentagon confirmed this decision to RIA Novosti.
