The leader of the Accident group, Alexei Kortnev, who criticized the special military operation, spoke about helping refugees from Donbass, and also declared his readiness to support the military.

"A family consisting of a mother and a boy, whose breadwinner died, lived in our house for about six months. They lived for several months in the basement of a church in their native village and then were taken out of there. The girl turned out to be a professional hairdresser, she worked for us in a village near Moscow," he told the Paragraph portal.

According to him, local residents also tried to provide the girl with work and came to get a haircut only to her.

"Then she started working in Odintsovo. And my wife helped get the boy into kindergarten. They were provided with living space, and they moved out from us. I am also ready to consider the issue of assistance to military personnel," the musician concluded.

As reported by EADaily, in February 2022, Kortnev spoke out strongly against SMO and Russia's actions on Ukraine.

Later, the head of the Federal Anti-Corruption Project, Vitaly Borodin, called for Kortnev and his band's concerts across the country to be canceled "until he realizes which side he is on."

In February of this year, there were rumors about the departure of the artist to the United States, which he categorically denied. According to Kortnev, since the beginning of the special military operation, he has been to the United States only once, while the artist has no desire to "live there", as well as citizenship, long-term visa or real estate.

The musician assured that "he lives, works and regularly pays taxes at home."

After that, the head of the Veterans of Russia public movement, Ildar Rezyapov, called for Kortnev to be given the status of a foreign agent. The activist recalled that Kortnev called the special military operation "imperial ambitions", and also said that "Russia has fenced itself off with a blank wall" from the civilized world. Rezyapov is sure that such actions should not go unpunished.
