The proposal of Russian President Vladimir Putin to the militants of the Kiev regime in the Kursk region to lay down their arms is still valid. However, the time limit for voluntary surrender is already running out.

This was stated to the TASS news agency on Saturday, March 15, by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

Answering the relevant question, the spokesman stressed that the proposal "is still valid," but the time for the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Russian region is "shrinking like shagreen leather."

As EADaily reported, earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin suggested that the Ukrainian military in the Kursk region lay down their arms and surrender.

The Russian leader promised the surrendered that they would be guaranteed life and decent treatment in accordance with international law and the laws of the Russian Federation.

Putin thus responded to the call of US President Donald Trump, who offered to "spare" the Ukrainian formations in the Kursk region.
