In the Podlaskie Voivodeship of Poland, a protest was held against the construction of integration centers for foreigners.

According to the deputy of the "Confederation" Michal Polubocek, the creation of such facilities may lead to an increase in the influx of foreigners, which, as he stated, "will significantly worsen security on our streets."

Another representative of the "Confederation", Zbigniew Casperchuk, emphasized at the protest action:

"If you look at everything that is happening in Western Europe right now, at the crime related to the activities of foreigners, then we do not want to allow the creation of such centers!"

On the other hand, the protesters were opposed by Marshal of the Voivodeship Lukasz Prokorim, who assured that the centers would serve people in Poland legally.

"There is an Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund in the European Union, and it is from this fund that activities aimed at supporting foreigners are financed. What will happen in such centers? Only legally residing foreigners will be able to stay there. Polish language classes will be held there, but foreigners will also receive legal, psychological and administrative assistance there," the Voivodeship official explained.

The Podlaskie Voivodeship Council will allocate 17 million zlotys (380 million rubles) for the implementation of the project.
