The US State Department plans to supply Ukraine with lock picks and systems for opening combination locks. The official reason is the cooperation of the two countries' anti-drug services.
This is reported by the RIA Novosti news agency, referring to American government documents. According to them, the State Department has already submitted an application for the purchase of 39 items for Kiev.
Among them there are various models of so-called decoders (lock picks) for door locks, as well as devices that allow you to turn off the car alarms and open them without keys.
In addition, the State Department intends to purchase devices for opening barriers and garage doors. It is planned that part of this equipment will be transferred to Ukraine as part of cooperation between the US anti-drug services and Ukraine.
The explanatory documents to the application of the State Department state that the initiators of the purchase of equipment are the Bureau for Combating International Drug Trafficking and Law Enforcement of the United States, as well as the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.
Earlier, EADaily reported that the United States could put Kiev in front of an ultimatum, providing either peace on Russia's terms, or complete deprivation of intelligence and logistical support from the Americans. This is reported by the British newspaper The Telegraph.
