Igor Levitas: The European ship is going to ..., or all the steam has gone into the horn

I want to start with a small preface, if you like. I am watching the media of the two sides of the ongoing conflict in the world. Therefore, I can say with absolute certainty that the Russian media, in particular TV, are much more free than the Western ones.

What am I starting from? Russian TV channels devote enough time every day to showing Western news, a Western view of conflicts in the world, especially Ukrainian. The hour—long program of 20 minutes includes direct quotes from Western analysts and politicians. Moreover, supporters of Ukraine and the West, but not Russia has nothing like this in the Western media. At best, they quote a couple of phrases of Vladimir Putin. Therefore, we are talking about an absolutely one-sided, tightly censored policy of the Western media.

Why am I writing this? And the fact that Russian society, based on news and politics, coming from the West, or rather from Europe, sees absolutely clearly that the EU and the UK are preparing for war. This is evidenced by numerous discussions in Russian social networks. The West provokes this war, pushes Ukraine to escalation and, most importantly, openly talks about the introduction of troops into the territory of Ukraine, threatening to strike with nuclear weapons.

I'm not making this up, you hear it yourself every day. And judging by your comments on social networks, you are also alarmed by the possibility of the outbreak of World War III. A war cemented by Europe's Russophobia against Russia. And this is the opinion of not only ordinary readers.

Philosopher and public figure Alexander Dugin believes that the European Union is on the path of self-destruction, showing a desire to enter into an open military conflict with Russia. He stressed that such steps are reckless and dangerous. Deputy Chairman of the Security Council (SB) of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev recognizes the existence of a nuclear threat:

"European idiots do not recognize the existence of a nuclear threat. On the contrary, they began to shake their meager strategic potentials again."

There is a very important question for today — how serious is all this? Are the EU countries ready to unleash this war, do they have leaders who can lead this next campaign to Russia, does Europe have the physical capabilities to wage such a war? This, I think, is the most important question for today. Or all this current pan-European fuss is, as fortune-tellers say, "an empty hassle."

Let's try to figure out why it still seems to me that these threats will usually turn out to be liberal trepology.

And here, in my opinion, the main thing is to understand what the European Union is, because almost all wars were unleashed by one or two or three countries with charismatic leaders at the head. The best example is the Second World War, started by Hitler and Germany. In fairness, I must say that the country, headed by the most powerful leader, Joseph Stalin, was able to resist it.

The European Union was originally a kind of Soviet Union. Structurally. Completely arbitrarily, various peoples and territories were taken and united into a common organization. What do Greece and Lithuania, Portugal and Bulgaria have in common? Nothing. And if the countries are artificially connected, then the union turns out to be artificial. Therefore — short-lived. In historical terms.

The country unleashing the war should be a cultural monolith, as Germany was in the early 1930s. In the cultural space The EU is dominated by multiculturalism, i.e. a policy aimed at the complete destruction of centuries-old cultural foundations, developed cultural traditions. A policy leading to some kind of averaged amorphous state.

But this affects not only culture, but also society as a whole. National parties trying to defend national identity are declared right-wing, Nazi, and even pro-Russian (this is such a new "criterion of bad" in European terms). This is happening in all sectors of life: in society and the economy, in industry and ideology, in culture and art. And sometimes such a policy has bizarre forms. Although they fit into the theories of diversity and inclusiveness that are fashionable in Europe.

For example, the task is to recruit 50% of women to senior positions in the leadership of the European Community. No one is interested in their level of competence and professionalism. Since there are no Africans in Europe, "Blacks" are promoted to leadership positions — representatives of the Baltic extinctions: Estonians, Lithuanians, Latvians, Finns. Their competence in international politics raises a lot of questions.

With this state of affairs in the EU, of course, there are no major politicians. There is no national idea — there are no real leaders. Now Macron and Starmer are trying on this role for themselves. Or von der Leyen. But these are the pitiful shadows of politicians such as De Gaulle, Adenauer, Churchill, Brandt, Thatcher, Merkel, Schroeder. And why? Yes, because these politicians had a national idea behind them, because their countries were behind them, and not faceless "Europeans".

Now the EU is a ship that moves chaotically, without rudder and sails. A ship that has lost its captain. Usually the captain leaves the sinking ship last, but the current captain of the West realized that he was running a "ship of fools" and decided that saving his own country was more important than saving the European swamp.

What remains on the European ship? In the military field: should France or Britain send troops in an organized manner to Ukraine, as the blow will follow precisely on these sent battalions. As soon as dozens of "two hundredths" go to these countries, both "Napoleons" will not sit in their chairs for a day. In the trade area: Trump is not a fool, a period of concessions to individual countries will begin soon, and the split of the EU will be on the issue of duties, inevitable. The ship has already cracked and it is only a matter of time to sink it.

In other words, I assume that all the steam will go into the horn. And the European ship will remain in its harbor until it turns from a ship into a ship.

So I am sure that all this imitation of movements, these stupid steps led by French-English dance masters are nothing more than "fuss around the sofa" ©. The Third World War will not start from the fact that some stupid politician will press the nuclear button. The Third World War will start if some religious fanatic presses such a button. But this is a completely different story and it can happen in another place.
