Limiting the size of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be a "red line" in the peace talks on the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict. This was stated to Reuters by Deputy head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Pavlo Palisa.
"This is a principled position. No one, and especially the aggressor country Russia, will dictate to Ukraine what kind of armed forces Ukraine should have," Palisa said, quoted by Novini Live.
According to him, well-trained Ukrainian military will be the best guarantee of Kiev's security. He also added that Ukraine is now investing resources in the development of air defense systems.
"Several countries have agreed to transfer licenses and technical documentation for the production of certain equipment to Ukraine," Palisa said.
Pavel Palisa was a member of the Ukrainian delegation at the recent talks with representatives of the United States in Saudi Arabia.
