The authorities of Prague handed over eight ownerless cars intended for recycling to the organization Neohnutí z.s., which is engaged in supporting Ukraine in the ongoing war. This was reported by local media.

It is reported that all cars became the property of the city after the expiration of the legal storage period and they were waiting for liquidation. The idea to transfer decommissioned cars to Kiev arose from municipal deputy Jiri Ptachek

"I thank everyone who supported this initiative and helped once again provide assistance to Ukraine suffering from the war. Prague is a city of solidarity and support, and this has been confirmed again today. The ancient Roman philosopher Seneca said: man was born to help each other. These words sound especially strong today," Prague Mayor Bohuslav Svoboda said at the handover ceremony.

The cars were chosen by representatives of Neohnutí during an inspection at a specialized parking lot in Dubec district, which is serviced by the city organization Správa služeb hlavního města Prahy. All cars were decommissioned property with no residual value. At the same time in Prague is already preparing another transfer of cars, which will be offered again to Neohnutí in the near future.

Recall, the Czech Republic condemns Russia's actions on Ukraine. Prague provides all possible assistance to the Kiev regime. At the same time, the Czech authorities can no longer send weapons and ammunition due to its absence.
