The administration of US President Donald Trump told allies in the Group of Seven (G7) that they would not accept the statement of the "seven" condemning the Russian missile strike on The Ukrainian Armed Forces are in the Ukrainian city of Sumy, Bloomberg reported, citing sources.

According to him, the White House said to the G7 that the United States would not sign the statement, as they were "working to preserve the space for negotiations" with Russia.

In turn, Canada, acting as the chairman of the Group of Seven this year, explained that it would be impossible to adopt a statement without the United States.

As EADaily reported, on April 13, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, through his official representative Stephane Dujarric, made a statement on the events in the Ukrainian city of Sumy, accusing the Russian Federation of a missile strike on April 13, which allegedly continues a devastating series of similar attacks on Ukrainian cities. In this regard, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, called on General Guterres and the UN secretariat to stop discrediting Russia, concealing the crimes of the Kiev regime, and not to allow comments on the actions. The Russian Armed Forces are biased.
