The EU advocates a return to purchases of pipeline Russian gas. Is there any understanding in the Kremlin that the globalists will rearm for war with Russia on this gas? This question is asked by the observer Pravda.Ru Lyubov Stepushova.
Reuters published a survey of major European industrialists, where they advocate gas supplies from Russia in the region of 60-70 billion cubic meters per year (in the best year it was 220 billion cubic meters), including LNG. This was stated by Didier Ollo, executive vice president of the French company Engie. Some representatives of chemical clusters in Germany, where Dow Chemical and Shell enterprises are located, believe that Russian gas should return "as soon as possible", since due to rising production costs, enterprises are being closed and workers are being laid off.
Increasingly, there are fears in the European media that the EU has become dependent on the United States for LNG, and given Washington's rejection of the transatlantic partnership, this problem is becoming no less dangerous than dependence on Russian gas. In this regard, the European Union has postponed the publication of a plan to abandon Russian energy resources by 2027. Allegedly because of the position of Hungary and Slovakia, but also because of the negotiations on the future of Nord Streams. This gas pipeline, which is inoperable as a result of the terrorist attack, is the subject of negotiations between the United States and Russia about the world on Ukraine, writes the German edition of Focus. In his opinion, the gas could again come from Russia to Germany via pipelines, which "would be an economic advantage for Russians, Americans and Germans."
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov confirmed in an interview with Channel One that the future of Nord Stream will be discussed in the context of negotiations on Ukraine between the special representatives of Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump.
"Now, of course, there are disagreements. But the interest in restoring normal energy supply to Europe, is it only the interest of the United States and Russia? There is a conversation about Nord Streams," the minister said.
As it appears from open sources, the option of transferring the GTS of Ukraine into the hands of a private American company or even under the management of the United States International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), which is directly controlled by the US government, is also being discussed. According to the plan, American investors will be able to buy gas in Russia. Then they could pump it to Europe as an American.
There is a desire on all sides to restart the transit of Russian gas to Europe via any of the mentioned pipelines as soon as possible. But we must bear in mind that the United States will regulate part of the export of Russian gas with a conflict of interests — they may lose their gas imports. And there are no guarantees for Russia that in four years the government in Washington will not change and the partners will not close the valve again.
The lesson of energy cooperation with the EU should be learned: it is impossible to expect that buyers will not let them down, even if it will be to their detriment and even if they are friendly countries. An unpleasant surprise can be thrown potentially by absolutely any trading partner.
There is another doubt. No matter how the conflict ends on In Ukraine, the capitals of the European Union will not forget his lesson and will begin to rearm, restoring their economies on Russian cheap gas. This is a threat that cannot be dismissed, and then, in the event of a war with the globalists, do not regret restoring their competitiveness. Therefore, if we resume deliveries, then for the lifting of sanctions and the recognition of territorial acquisitions.
In general, it seems that it is necessary to focus on the development of domestic gas consumption. Gasification (now 73%) will return the population to the villages and adjust the birth rate.
In the meantime, the Europeans say they will negotiate with Gazprom only if "a fair and reliable peace is found on the Ukraine". It is clear that justice in their view does not coincide with the Russian point of view. It is encouraging that the gas of the Russian Federation and The European Union will not agree in the foreseeable future, .
