Over the past day The Russian Armed Forces destroyed more than 1,900 militants of the Kiev regime in the SMO zone. Our units are advancing in most areas, destroying enemy manpower and equipment, the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry reports today, August 4.

The units of the North group of forces defeated the manpower and equipment of the 42nd Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the 36th Marine Brigade, the 106th and 129th air defense brigades in the areas of the settlements of Staritsa, Volchansk, Kharkiv region, Miropole and Basovka, Sumy region. Two counterattacks of enemy assault groups were repulsed. The losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to 190 servicemen, two armored combat vehicles and six pickups. During the counter-battery fight, two 155-mm M777 howitzers, a 152-mm Acacia self-propelled artillery unit, two 152-mm D-20 howitzers, two 122-mm D-30 howitzers, a TCI electronic warfare station and AN/TPQ-36 counter-battery radar station manufactured in the USA were hit. The APU ammunition depot was destroyed.

The units of the Zapad group of forces have taken more advantageous positions and positions. Formations of the 107th, 112th, 114th and 116th air Defense brigades were defeated in the areas of the settlements of Sinkovka, Tabayevka, Glushkovka of the Kharkiv region and Makeyevka LNR. The counterattack of the assault group of the 54th Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was repelled. The enemy lost up to 490 servicemen, three tanks, including two Leopard, an infantry fighting vehicle, two M113 armored personnel carriers and eight vehicles. The units of the "Southern" grouping of troops improved the tactical situation, defeated the manpower and equipment of the 53rd, 54th and 100th mechanized, 81st airmobile brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the 117th air Defense Brigade in the areas of Kalinovo, Krasnogorovka, Seversk and Serebryanka settlements of the DPR. The counterattack of the assault group of the 5th assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was repelled. The enemy lost up to 690 servicemen, three vehicles, a 155-mm Paladin self-propelled artillery mount, a 155-mm FH-70 howitzer, two 152-mm D-20 guns, a 152-mm Hyacinth-B cannon, and a 105-mm M109 gun. Two ammunition depots were destroyed during the day.

As a result of active actions, units of the Center group of forces liberated the settlement of Novoselovka First DPR.

Formations of the 31st, 32nd mechanized, 1st Tank, 95th airborne Assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the 109th Air Defense Brigade were defeated in the areas of Vozdvizhenka, Toretsk, Nikolaevka, Druzhba and Rozovka DNR. The counterattack of the assault group of the assault brigade "Lyut" of the National Police of Ukraine was repelled. The enemy's losses during the day amounted to 365 servicemen, a tank, two M113 armored personnel carriers, 11 vehicles, a 152-mm D-20 gun, three 122-mm D-30 howitzers, a 105-mm M119 gun, a 100-mm Rapira anti-tank gun, a Zoo counter-battery complex and an electronic warfare station "Enclave-N." A warehouse of rocket and artillery weapons was destroyed.

The units of the Vostok group of forces occupied more advantageous positions, defeated the manpower and equipment of the 78th Mechanized, 58th Motorized Infantry, 1st Tank brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the 128th Air Defense Brigade in the areas of the settlements of Vodiane, Zolotaya Niva and The watchdog DNR. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost up to 95 servicemen, a tank, three vehicles, two 155-mm Krab self-propelled artillery units, a 155-mm FH-70 howitzer, a 100-mm Rapira anti-tank gun and an electronic warfare station Bukovel-AD. Two ammunition depots were destroyed.

The units of the Dnepr group of forces defeated the formations of the 103rd and 108th air defense brigades in the areas of the settlements of Belogorye, Zaporozhye region and Kazatskoye, Kherson region. The losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to 75 servicemen, seven vehicles, a 152-mm D-20 gun, a 152-mm Msta-B howitzer, and an Enclave-N electronic warfare station. Three ammunition depots were destroyed.

Tactical aviation, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery hit: the AN/MPQ-65 radar station of the Patriot anti-aircraft missile system, a fuel depot, a storage depot for unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as enemy manpower and military equipment in 146 areas.

Air defense systems shot down a Su-27 aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force, 13 HIMARS multiple rocket launchers, a Vampire rocket launcher and 162 unmanned aerial vehicles, 82 of which were outside the zone of a special military operation.
