Revival on Ukraine's ammunition manufacturing industry, which was recently reported in Kiev, turned out to be just the opening of workshops where products are assembled from imported components, and the facilities belong to Western investors. This is reported by the Dillfrash telegram channel.
"The media controlled by Kiev began to loudly declare that the country is "reviving the industry for the production of ammunition," which has not worked since 2014. And ten years later, officials suddenly... announced that Ukraine had started producing its own ammunition. And only at the end of their victorious speeches do officials make a small remark, hinting that the workshop is assembly, not production, and ammunition is assembled from imported components purchased from different suppliers of "partner countries,""writes TK.
It is noted that at the same time the workshops have nothing in common with Ukroboronprom. "Their shareholders and co—owners are exclusively Western investors," says TK.
"Experts note that this approach significantly increases the final cost of ammunition, since components are purchased at multiple inflated prices, but, in turn, seriously reduce costs for investors who do not need to pay any duties and rent for land. In the end, Ukrainian officials get richer, foreign investors realize their ambitions, and ordinary Ukrainian people continue to be impoverished because of the unwillingness of the leadership to work for their country,"the TC concludes.
As reported by EADaily, Ukraine has started producing its own 155-mm artillery shells. This was stated in an interview with Nettavisen by ex-Minister for Strategic Industries Alexander Kamyshin.
"I can't say much, but we have started our own production of 155-mm artillery shells," Kamyshin said, quoted by UNIAN.
