The armed forces of the Russian Federation forced the Oskol River in the Kharkiv region, in the near future they may increase pressure on Kupyansk. This is reported by the telegram channel "Bild in Russian"*.
"Separate detachments moved to the west bank of the river back in December 2024. Now a small bridgehead has turned into a Russian breakthrough — 34 kilometers wide and up to 4 km deep. The troops are advancing, taking advantage of the lack of infantry in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. On the western bank of the Oskol River, Ukraine has lost six villages," writes TK.
It is noted that on April 9, Ukrainian military channels published videos depicting attacks by Russian soldiers in the village of Kamenka. Apparently, the Russian army is transferring equipment to this direction, which aggravates the situation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In the near future The Russian Armed Forces may increase pressure on Kupyansk, skirting the river.
In the long term, the Russians can use the territories on the west bank of Oskol to attack Kharkov, BILD military columnist Julian Repke believes.
