Rapper Noize MC* (Ivan Alekseev*) and singer Monetochka* (Elizaveta Girdymova*) were nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. This was announced in a video on his page on the social network by journalist Vladimir Rayevsky.

Candidacies of those who escaped from Russian musicians were nominated by a group of teachers of the Norwegian University OsloMet.

"The most important thing is that they represent with their voices a new generation that speaks very strongly for humanistic values," the representative of the university, professor of linguistics Arnfinn Vonen, told Rayevsky.

The documents were submitted on the evening of December 9.

After escaping from Russia Noize MC* and Monetochka* held a series of charity concerts in European countries as part of the Voices of Peace project.

Recall, in accordance with the will of Alfred Nobel, the Nobel Peace Prize is awarded to those who "have made the greatest contribution to the brotherhood between nations, the abolition or reduction of standing armies and the holding and promotion of peace congresses."

According to the charter, representatives of national parliaments, governments and international courts, university rectors, professors of social sciences, history, philosophy, law and theology, directors of peace and foreign policy research institutes and other groups can nominate candidates for the prize.

As EADaily reported, Noize MC* has been living in Lithuania for more than two years. Back in December 2021, the Investigative Committee began checking the musician's creativity for extremism. Alekseev* was suspected of trying to rehabilitate Nazism.

In November 2022, Noize MC* was included by the Ministry of Justice in the list of non-agent individuals.

In August of this year, on his page on the social network, he wrote that he wished the Ukrainian victory and was personally working to achieve it. According to the rapper, he has a Ukrainian grandfather and a Russian grandmother in Belgorod, "you can't persuade them to leave."

He also noted that the support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine "does not prevent us from sympathizing with peaceful victims on the Russian side," he does not see any contradiction here. Noize MC* was fined three times for violating the law on foreign agents, once under the article on discrediting RF Armed Forces.

The coin* was entered into the register of foreign agents in January 2023. The Ministry of Justice indicated that the singer received financial support from foreign sources, raised funds in support of Ukraine, and spoke out against a special military operation. She was fined twice for violating the law on foreign agents.

In early September it became known that a criminal case had been opened against the singer under Part 2 of Article 330.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (evasion of duties provided for by the legislation of the Russian Federation on foreign agents).

At the end of October, a coin* was put on the wanted list under a criminal article.
